Newsletter September 2026

September 2026

Thank you for subscribing to the Melton Mowbray PhysioPlus Newsletters.

I started the newsletters in 2016 to use this opportunity to update everyone on clinic changes, what opportunities are available in the area and lastly to share interesting facts through my regular blog. I used to have many a night sitting next to the swimming baths in Melton with my son being part of the Melton Swimming Club. He stopped his competitive swimming with Covid and unfortunately so did my newsletters.

In recent weeks I took some time to work on my clinic instead of inside it. And, with this newsletter would like to update you on the main changes.

Clinic Matters

What changes have occured:

1.    I changed the clinic patient platform to Cliniko- all communication emails therefore will now have a different appearance from what you might have been used to. The new platform is much cleaner and allows me to fully integrate AI into clinic note taking.

2.    Integrated Arlo for AI clinic notes. This means that all sessions in the clinic is now recorded. This is an amazing system that will allow me to send you summaries (if you want me to) at the end of each session as well as with a click of a button write letters and reports.

3.    Joined Mailchimp again so that I can keep you all updated. So much have changed in 6 years and a bit of a steep learning curve. I am not planning on sending regular newsletters/updates but so many of you don’t use Facebook and as such it is difficult to inform you of any news - clinic or local. But if this is not for you, please do not hesiate to unsubscribe.

4.    Updating the blogs again on my website. When my last website crashed, I have never been able to figure out how to reinstate my blogs. At last, I have found the solution and slowly but surely am adding my previous blogs back on to the page. However, it was very interesting reading through them, just how quickly the world of medicine change, as some of the information was already out of date.

Personal changes

My core clinic hours are 9-2:30. There is some flexibility with it. Life has become rather complicated over the past 18 months since my elderly Dalmatian have torn her cruciate ligament and had a subsequent knee operation. It is like having a child back in the house!

At the same time, I always advise on self-care, taking time to exercise but never allow myself to follow the advice that I give. The two recent courses have just reinforced all the information that I know and pass on to you as my patients but never follow myself. For the first time in my 33 years of practising physiotherapy, I have started with hand issues. I want to keep practising for many more years but need to take time to stay physically strong to enable me to keep up with my work.

And lastly, I practice as a sole trader. With the recent changes in how we report Tax, I had to make some changes to bank accounts to streamline everything. Unfortunately, although I practice under my maiden name, Liebenberg, all my identification is under my married name, Williams. So please do not be surprised when a BACS payment state Williams.

Professional updates

On a professional level, I am now an Accredited Menopause Movement Specialist. In addition, I also completed my Strength and Conditioning training, which nicely ties in with the menopause changes but mostly with understanding the importance of maintaining our strength as we age. I am excited to implement the research into practice. Apologies, for the forthcoming overload of information.

BUT, hopefully the AI treatment summary will capture it all and remind you by email.

And lastly excited to say that I will be attending the Therapy Show which is an annual conference in Birmingham NEC 25/26 November.

I expect many a hiccup to appear in the next few weeks while I am getting used to the new systems. Please do not hesitate to contact me if anything does not appear correct.

Lastly, please contact me if there is a specific topic you would like me to cover in my future blogs.

Stay healthy and remember to move!

Best wishes,

Jonette
